House of Valmar…

Who doesn’t love shoes? Flats are definitely on the top of my favorite shoes list. Summers in South FL feel like they are endless. I love to sport all types of flat sandals because they are fun, beautiful, light on the feet, and great for catching a summer breeze.

This post is special to me, as my sweet cousin Luany and her cousin Aily have collaborated together to create House of Valmar, a gorgeous line of shoes that include flats, sandals, heels and wedges. House of Valmar stems from the roots of owners Luany Acosta-Rodriguez and Ailette Valcarce. Their grandfathers had a retail store in Cuba named “Valmar”, and they were very successful in their family business. However, they had to give it all up when the Castro regime took over. The cousins decided to join forces and re-create the legacy their grandfathers left behind and following in the family tradition, they both come from backgrounds in the fashion industry as well. Ailette has been in the shoe business for about 5 years and dedicated herself to servicing the retailers, by being in the wholesale side of this industry designing lines such as; Aily V Made in Brazil, Cristofoli by Aily V, and Primp and Proper. Luany, on the other hand, has an extensive background in the retail industry, working in big name retail stores, as well as running high end fashion boutiques. However her long term goal was always to open an exclusive boutique of her own one day. Finding common ground, and both wanting to be actively involved in their children’s lives they decided to join forces and House of Valmar was born.

I invite you to come see for yourselves their exclusive boutique carrying their very own designed lines offering comfort and style, all made in Brazil.

Featured above is their Chess flats in turquoise and gold, aren’t they to die for?! Hope you enjoyed this preview! Check out their Facebook page for more styles! Until then.. stay chic!

xo, Nic
